Service Description: MSJV was awarded the 140G0224F0114-MO_SE11County_B24 Task Order by the United States Geologic Survey (USGS) to provide a spring 2024 leaf-on lidar survey collected over an Area of Interest (AOI) of approximately 7,321 square miles in southeast Missouri including all or portions of Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Ripley, Scott, Stoddard, Wayne counties. This project will support the Missouri GIS Advisory Council and a variety of local, state, and federal initiatives, including the 3DEP mission. The QL1 lidar data collected for this project will assist with detailed analysis, monitoring, and mapping of various ecological metrics, including streams/rivers, wetlands, forests, grasslands, agriculture, natural communities, invasive species impacts, and other stakeholder applications.
